Our Sustainability Mission

U.S. Green Building Council Member
We are committed to green, sustainable building and being a responsible corporate citizen. This goes beyond adopting environmentally sound business practices such as recycling containers and office materials, and purchasing green office supplies for our offices and jobsites. Our commitment also includes our intention to educate our personnel and our project team members about sustainable building practices and to focus on constructing projects that are pursuing LEED© certification.

Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company currently employs more than 30 LEED© AP's who are helping guide our sustainability efforts. We are proud of our LEED© project experience, and are committed to this tangible way of partnering with our clients to reduce our carbon footprint in Hawaii.

Our top-rated Pre-Construction Services include the latest REVIT©/BIM technology that enables virtual construction of a project resulting in less paper use, less construction material waste, and greater efficiencies including construction time savings.

Hawaiian Dredging's Green Ohana is an in-house steering committee devoted to guiding the company and implementing current best practices in sustainability in our offices and on our jobsites. The goal is to be better stewards of our planet.

Pulama Honua ("To Cherish Our Earth") is our periodic newsletter where information and best practices are shared with the company and a wider public audience. Hawaiian Dredging has been building Hawaii since 1902, and embraces our industry's shift to building a greener, more Sustainable Hawaii for present and future generations.
