Kawaihae Small Boat Harbor System Improvements, Phase I

Kawaihae is a major port for the island’s interisland cargo and petroleum receiving facilities. Additionally, the expansive harbor with its extensive breakwater and shoreline system is the site for a wide range of ocean activities enjoyed by visitors and residents including fishing, boating, paddling, and surfing.

Hawaiian Dredging was selected to move forward with a new small craft dock facility that would include a mooring dock for 25 boats, a restroom, septic tank, parking stalls, and the coarse grade and rock fill that would receive a future-planned expanded parking lot.
