Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing

Hawaiian Dredging performed this design-build project in Schofield Barracks, Oahu, to provide this Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) facility for 192 persons. The main portion of the project was the new 81,000 square foot building comprised of 96 two-bedroom units each with a kitchen and bath.

Additional work included the demolition of 11 smaller existing buildings and construction of a mechanical enclosure, motorcycle shed, asphalt concrete paved parking, and a trash enclosure, and a storm drain retention system.

Tunnel forming was used for the construction of the main building which also included insulated concrete foam on the exterior among other design elements to meet LEED Silver certification standards.
