Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company, Inc currently employs more than 30 LEED© AP’s who are helping guide our sustainability efforts. We are proud of our LEED© project experience, and are committed to this tangible way of partnering with our clients to reduce our carbon footprint in Hawaii.
Our top-rated Pre-Construction Services include the latest REVIT©/BIM technology that enables virtual construction of a project resulting in less paper use, less construction material waste, and greater efficiencies including construction time savings.
Hawaiian Dredging’s Green Ohana is an in-house steering committee devoted to guiding the company and implementing current best practices in sustainability in our offices and on our jobsites. The goal is to be better stewards of our planet.

The Green Ohana includes Hawaiian Dredging employees many of whom are LEED Accredited Professionals from various departments and jobsites who meet monthly to discuss sustainable company practices, organize activities, share local and national Green-related news and events, and keep everyone updated on the latest sustainable construction methods,materials, and developments.
Various sub committees within the Green Ohana are concerned with education, recycling, and communications.

This K-1 campus is a Design-Assist project consisting of four duplex classroom buildings and a two-story building with classrooms and a community room. Numerous additional sustainability features were integrated to include; day lighting, rainwater catchment cisterns for watering gardens, outdoor learning area with endemic and native Hawaiian educational gardens, PV panels for energy, FSC lumber for millwork, recycled material, natural ventilation, bioswales to manage water runoff.
