Maui Memorial Medical Center

The Maui Memorial Medical Center, the island’s only state-of-the-art comprehensive healthcare center, is also historically significant having been opened in 1884 by Queen Kapiolani. The construction project was a multi-phased, design-assist project that encompassed extensive demolition before expanding and renovating the facility.

In addition to construction, Hawaiian Dredging provided valuable preconstruction services including countless constructability reviews, phasing studies, and cost control/value engineering evaluations to assure that the hospital could continue to provide crucial medical care during all phases of construction. Hawaiian Dredging also provided a number of cost saving solutions and global sourcing options that resulted in significant cost reductions.
