Queen’s Medical Center – Various Projects

Project Description

For decades, Hawaiian Dredging has worked with Queen’s Medical Center on numerous campus expansion and renovation projects. Notable specialized care clinics and departments constructed by Hawaiian Dredging include the Women’s Health Center, Maternity Services, Outpatient Pharmacy, Clinical Research Center, and the above mentioned Joint Center. In 2003, campus improvement work included a new lobby porte cochere and extensive site work and landscaping in and around the front lot and the Queen’s Conference Center, historically known as the Mabel Smyth Memorial Building. Work in 2004 included the renovation of the Front Lobby of the Nalani Wing, built in 1992 where the original Queen’s Hospital was located, creating a beautifully detailed sitting area naturally cooled by trade winds.

More recent work that included such major projects as the Miller Street Parking Structure and smaller ones such as the renovation or construction of specialty rooms. In all cases, work was required to be accomplished without impact or interruption of the hospital’s ongoing services.
